I just want to say a great, big thank you to everyone who took the time out of their day to explain and offer their wonderful advice to me while I was searching for a new camera to save for.

=jon-rista, =Baz135, =evile33, and *Diesel-McCool really helped me through the process, so a special thank you to all of you. :huggle: Please know that I really appreciate your advice.

Instead of the Canon 50D, I'm going to get the Canon 450D. Instead of buying the kit lens, I'm going to save for the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. This will costs around $1020. Right now, I have $430 saved up, so it'll be a little while until I actually buy anything. :dummy:

I received my first camera November 1, 2008, and I've been snapping shots ever since.

In the spring and summer, my favorite past time is walking through the woods, pausing and listening to the treefrogs ribbet and the wind whisper through the trees.

When no one's around to listen, I enjoy singingalong with my favorite songs. But, that's a secret.

I'm eclectic when it comes to music: John Coltrane, Muse, Apocalyptica, Goo Goo Dolls, Belle and Sebastian, Amy MacDonald, Jewel, Elbow, Billy Talent, Tori Amos, The Boy Least Likely To, Mumford & Sons, Vienna Tang, Tchaikovsky, The Hush Sound, The Killers...

Though I love photography, I'm not photogenic, and so I tend to shy away when a camera is pointed at me.

I'm agnostic. I believe more so in nature and the changing of time than organized religions.

I'm extremely shy and quiet. My friends of eight years still stick with those adjectives when describing me.

I believe in the impossible. And fairies.
