I went down to a beach on the Mississippi River and found this little guy amongst some aquatic vegetation. I believe he's a False Map Turtle due to the ridges on his shell and the marks on his head and neck. He's so tiny!! He still has his tooth that helps turtles break out of the shell.

I named him Franklin. Anyone remember Franklin the Turtle from Nick Jr.? :heart:

I'm just way too tired. Finals. Last day of classes as well. but yes I remember that show from when I used to watch it with the kids I used to babysit.

I was already a little too old for that show when it came out. but it was still fun to watch. but off of that. wonderful picture, I really do enjoy your work.
