There's something incredibly abstract about this shot. It looks both extremely macro and extremely micro. Every time I scroll back up to look at it, I get something else out of it. I can see rockets flying upwards and leaving little contrails. The rock in the background looks almost like a nebula. There are tiny organisms swimming around in their tiny environment. The range of interpretation in this photo is incredible.

Technically, it's wonderful as well. The nonuniform distribution of... whatever those are... is visually interesting, the framing makes use of the golden ratio and the color scheme works brilliantly together with the reds contrasting the blues and greens perfectly. The depth of field is great too, it creates a sense of dimension. The blur and focus of the grass (if that is grass, it could be moss) makes it a good grounding point for your eyes to settle at, without being distracting. To top it all off, normally watermarks on photos bother me, but I quite like how this one is framed.

As far as critique goes, there's not much to say. There are bright spots on the very bottom near the right, and one on the upper left (under the dark bit). They are a tiny bit distracting, but there's really not much you can do (and it could be argued that they add character anyways).

Overall, this is an amazing shot and I'll be looking forward to seeing more!
