Well, I went hiking last weekend with a friend and learned two important lessons: wear long pants and know your vegetation. We both stupidly wore shorts since we planned to hunt for frogs in the creek. We know what poison ivy looks like but never before have we seen nettles. We learned that day.

Nettles are painful. Once you get stuck in a patch of them, it's an obstacle course to get back out. My legs stung for a couple hours after our tek through the woods. I still have the scratches on my legs.

Now, the poison ivy wasn't immediately painful and still isn't, but it itches and is a pain to get rid of. I have patches of poison ivy rashes on my face, neck, legs, hip, and hands. I'm trying my best to resist the temptation to scratch, and I have an a bag of ice pressed to the spots on my face and neck at this very moment. I'm putting Hydrocortisone cream everywhere else. Despite this, the rash keeps spreading. Does anyone have any advice to stop the spreading?

Oh well. At least I gained some pretty photos and new knowledge from my little adventure, right?

Six more school days left until summer vacation!!! :sun:
